We would like to say a big Thank You to all parents and carers who have taken the time to complete a survey this academic year!

We value your opinions and have made some changes throughout the year based on your fantastic suggestions.

Homework and Planner Survey (Spring 2016)

As a result of your answers we are going to

  • introduce planners to KS1 from September
  • look at the amount of homework each year group gets
  • look at how we can support parents to help their child, particularly in reading

Club survey (Summer 2016)

Thank you for completing our summer survey about clubs. As a result we are going to

  • rebook Halifax Boxing
  • set up a cooking club and introduce school 'tasters' to sample the new menu

Settling In Survey (Autumn 2016)

As a result of your answers we are going to

  • speak to the children in assembly time about who to speak to in school if they are worried or upset
  • speak to the children about the school worry box during Thought for the Week sessions
  • look at how we can support parents to further understand homework 

Home School Links (Autumn 2016)

As a result of your answers we are going to

  • send home an up to date information sheet for parents about the school website.
  • add a tab onto the website with information about how to contact the school leadership team.
  • look at how we can support parents further with KS1 & KS2 school planners.

Online Safety Survey (Spring 2017)

As a result of your answers we are going to

  • continue to deliver online safety lessons to children about keeping safe online
  • deliver online safety training to parents in Spring 2
  • employ children as 'Digital Champions' across KS2

Coffee Morning Survey (Spring 2017)

As a result of your answers we are going to

  • Organise sessions linked to the following areas; homework, healthy eating, English language learning, managing behaviour, sleep routines and pediatric first aid.
  • Arrange more teacher led sessions linked to different curriculum areas/year groups
  • Send weekly reminders via text message
  • Arrange 11+ and SAT support for parents during coffee morning sessions
  • Advertise for parent volunteers to help with reading across school

Sports Provision Survey (Summer 2017)

As a result of your answers we are going to

  • Review the PE curriculum, ensuring that the content continues to engage our children
  • Continue to offer extra-curricular clubs and tournaments 
  • Encourage more parents to attend school sports competitions/matches and sports day 
  • Look into the possibility of offering Rugby & Tennis as sports clubs/lessons

Competitions & Rewards Survey (Summer 2017)

As a result of your answers we are going to

  • Ensure that we launch a greater number of competitions in school next year
  • Review rewards and prizes- look at the posibility of organising trips as a reward
  • Arrange a parent forum meeting to discuss rewards and prizes
